The hotel is ideally situated close to the business centre in Farnborough, Hampshire catering to the needs of businessmen. We have 103 rooms offering twin, double, king, family room, executive suites, and a bridal suite. We have two twin rooms designed for the disabled. We have a restaurant and a pub on site, large parking area and a well-equipped gym, sauna and jacuzzi. The hotel is on two floors with wide corridors accessed by stairs or an elevator.

We aim to provide the highest standard of service to all guests and should anything be required which is not readily available, please ask and we shall do all we can to help.


  • The closest airport is Farnborough Executive Jet Airport;
  • Many guests arrive via Heathrow (45 minutes) or Gatwick Airport (1 hour drive);
  • A taxi service with preferential rates for guests can be booked via the hotel website;
  • Directions on getting to the hotel by air, car, bus, and train are on the hotel website;
  • We have a large free car park. It is free of cost for small cars and vans. Transit and larger vehicle parking fees are applicable;
  • We can arrange audio-, video- and computer- equipment rental.

Under British law, smoking is not permitted inside the building.

    Arrival & Car Parking Facilities

    • The hotel has a large, uncovered car park to the front of the building;
    • There are two entrances to the hotel from the car park. The one to the left has a couple of steps and the one to the right for wheelchairs or wheelie bags;
    • The car park to the entrance is a hard tarmac road surface;
    • The lobby, lounge and restaurant are carpeted.

    Main Entrance & Reception

    • The front desk is open 24 hours;
    • Registration cards are pre-printed with your name, date of arrival and date of departure. You will need to print your address and contact details. Pens are provided at the front desk;
    • To the left of the front desk are the stairs and lift to all the rooms.

    Public Areas - Hall, Stairs, Landing, Corridors

    • All public areas are carpeted;
    • The stairs have hand rails and the surface of the steps are ceramic tiles which may be slippery when wet;
    • All corridors are wide and can be adequately navigated by a wheelchair;
    • The corridors are carpeted.

    Public Areas - Sitting room, lounges, lobbies

    • Seats are available;
    • There is a large lounge with seats and tables;
    • There is soft lighting in the lounge and restaurant which is good enough for reading as well;
    • All areas are carpeted.

    Public WCs

    • There are six each male and female toilets available just off the lounge;
    • Floor is ceramic tiles;
    • There is a toilet available for disabled people opposite reception.

    Restaurant / Dining Room, Bar & Bar area

    • The lounge is to the right of the front desk and the restaurant is to the left of the lounge;
    • The floor is carpeted;
    • The entrance to the restaurant is wide enough to be easily accessed by a wheelchair;
    • The door to the restaurant manually opens in one direction;
    • A la carte and snack menus are readily available;
    • Seating in the restaurant can be quickly arranged for wheelchair users;
    • Lunch and dinner are served by waiters.

    There is a pub available on site. The Cricketers Tavern is open from 11am daily and serves hot food, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. It closes at midnight Monday to Saturday and at 11pm on Sundays.


    • A same day laundry service is available. Rates and laundry bags areavailable in the room.

    Leisure Facilities

    • There is a swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi and gym available for guests from 7am until 9.30pm.Mon-Fri and 8am to 4.30pm. Saturday and Sunday;
    • Towels and a cold water fountain with cups are available free of charge;

    • We have changing areas which are large and can accommodate a guest in a wheelchair and their carer;
    • There are showers in the changing room and complimentary bags for wet clothing;
    • The pool access is via steps fastened to the side wall of pool at the shallow and deep ends and there are rails either side to assist entry;
    • The jacuzzi is to the side of the swimming pool and besides the sauna and has fairly steep large stepped access down to a seated position. There is one rail;
    • Two showers are available for showering prior to using the pool, jacuzzi or sauna;
    • The gym is accessed by carpeted stairs. The equipment which is situated on two floors includes: cycling machines, rowing machines, running machines, cross trainers, weights and bars, exercise mats. If you have specific queries about the suitability of equipment please call our trained staff in advance;
    • The sauna have a door width of 85cm. There are no steps into them. Seating is provided in both.

    Conference & Meeting Rooms, Banqueting

    • 10 conference rooms available;
    • The largest is the Royal Ballroom, located just off the lobby, which can hold 500 people;
    • The Royal Ballroom also divides into two separate rooms of equal size;
    • The Royal Ballroom is suitable for plenary sessions, dances, wedding receptions, dinners and banquets;
    • Its hand-painted ceiling chronicles the military history of the town;
    • Other conference rooms are on the first floor accessible by lift and can accommodate from three to 44 people;
    • Audio-, visual- and computer-equipment are available for hire;
    • The hotel is part of the Lakeside group which offers other conference venues with seating capacity up to 1200 people with a full-equipped television-ready stage;
    • Hearing loops are available in both rooms;
    • Lighting is even but can be dimmed by individual conference organisers by sections;
    • Please notify conference organisers in advance if any additional services are required for conferences e.g. specific seating or staging, we do try to accommodate everyone's needs where possible;
    • There are toilets available between the conference rooms which also have an accessible toilet to the same specification as the public toilets listed above.

    Clubs & Entertainment

    • The Beepy's Nightclub is open on Saturday night for over 25s and is situated 10 minutes away at the Lakeside Country Club which is one of the best known entertainment spots in the country;
    • The Country Club is also the venue for live shows every month;

    Bedrooms & Sleeping Areas

    There are two accessible bedrooms with twin beds which provide specific facilities for guests with disability these include:

    • Wide but light easy to open entry doors;
    • Grab rails either side of the toilet - horizontal and vertical;
    • Television with Teletext and remote control
    • Flooring in bedrooms is carpet;
    • Flooring in bathroom is non slip laminate.

    Additional Information

    • We have a set evacuation procedure for basic information - Alarm bells are a continuous alarm;
    • All front desk staff have regular training which includes disability awareness training;
    • All housekeeping staff have been trained and are aware of procedures to aid privacy in bedrooms;
    • There might be poor network coverage for mobile phones in certain parts of the hotel.

    Future Plans

    The hotel is to be refurbished and more rooms and facilities for the disabled will be included. We are expecting to start in late 2009 and complete in mid-2010
